A BIT ABOUT US

The PMCH (Pat Midgley Community Hub) was built in 2022 by Great Places Housing Group who, acting on community calls, recognised that the community spaces within Wybourn were not adequate to deliver the range of socio-community benefiting projects they wished to see in the area.

In building the PMCH so that there could be a space for community and an expansion of community benefitting projects it is further anticipated that the development of the PMCH would be a means of developing individual and collective capacity of the people of Wybourn. The aim was that the PMCH would form the springboard upon which local people could realise their potential and be active participants in the future social, community and economic regeneration of Wybourn.

The vision for the PMCH is to provide a meeting point for local residents, a place where people will feel welcome to attend activities, classes and access services locally. The PMCH forms a base from which services are developed through cooperation with statutory and voluntary services to provide a pathway for individuals to access whatever services support or development they need.

Opening Day

On the 16th July 2022 we celebrated the opening day of the Pat Midgley Community Hub.

Joined by Pat's family, friends and colleagues, members of the local community and

Great Places Housing Group. 

​The ribbon was cut, and a plaque in memory of Pat was unveiled.
